Understanding our players is one of the key parts of the game development process at Paradox. We are now looking for a talented and passionate User Experience (UX) Researcher to work in our Insight team to support our Player Services team!

About the role

Working in one of the industry's most forward thinking research teams, you will design and execute research to explore the behavior and motivations of our players. You will gather insights that inform the design and product decisions across all our games and franchises and across the whole Paradox user experience. You will collect and analyze player behavior through a variety of methods such as lab studies, interviews, surveys, benchmark studies, diary studies and other qualitative research. 


  • We believe that you have 3+ years of experience with a proven track record, preferably from the gaming industry, including experience integrating user research into product design.
  • Experience in mapping user pain-points and insights in the User Journey format
  • Experience in running workshops to align and drive direction between multiple streams of work
  • Experience in effectively communicating research findings to product and design teams through written reports and verbal presentations focusing on actionable recommendations.

    We’re looking for someone with a creative and curious mind with a passion for games and, ideally,  games user experience. You have exceptional analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into valuable and actionable recommendations. As a researcher you are neutral, empathetic and curious about understanding users motivations and pain points.
