As the lead of a QA team at PDS, you will help us deliver the best possible games by leading and coordinating testing of our Grand Strategy Titles in various stages of development. The QA Lead works as part of the wider project team and organises their testers to provide valuable data and analysis on all aspects of the game.
About the role
Your role would involve the leading of a team of QA Testers in order to ascertain the quality of our games, including but not limited to organising day-to-day and week-to-week test scheduling, creating and delegating the running of testplans, organising feedback for game design choices, traditional bug-testing duties, and being the voice of and advocate for quality within the project’s leadership group.
Day-to-day work will involve coordinating with both internal and outsourced test partners, ensuring all current test sweeps are running efficiently and to a high quality level, liaising with other members of the leadership team to ensure cross-discipline collaboration, and assisting with the growth and improvement of the testing team both as a group and individually.
This role requires strong interpersonal and communicative skills, as well as the ability to build a pathway for development of the discipline both within the project and also outside of it, collaborating with leads from other teams to cross-pollinate successful ideas and processes.
We value candidates who have a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team, as well as being able to bring new ideas and fresh approaches to our current structure. Attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and the willingness to learn multiple facets of game development in order to be a QA-side problem-solver for a range of other disciplines would all be considered important for an ideal candidate.
Having experience with - and enjoying playing our GSG games will be considered a strong plus for potential candidates, and engagement with the wider Paradox portfolio would also be an asset. We encourage applicants from a range of experiences and backgrounds, even if they might not expressly fit every one of the requirements listed below.
