QA Manager - Hearts of Iron IV
Are you a dedicated Game developer & QA professional with skills in people management? Are you ready to lead and coach a troop of QA professionals through the trenches of game development? If you can take on this mission while carrying the banner of Quality, the role is made for you!
Your mission
As the QA Manager, you will lead a troop of 5-10 QA professionals. A troop that ensures the quality of all internally created releases in the Hearts of Iron franchise, while documenting in a way that maximizes the development team’s ability to achieve the highest value for our players.
At Paradox the QA is not only a quality check on the content developed, but also a fully integrated part of the game development team but pitch in practically when the mission requires it. This will require you to lead, recruit, train and manage our internal QA troop and our external QA resources. It is your responsibility that the team continuously keeps the development teams and studio leadership well informed about the current and projected quality of releases and milestones. As well as continuously improving the strategy and process for QA, and ensuring that our products are as good as they can be on release.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, plan & execute on all the QA & testing needs for the game
- Track and report on Product Quality
- Source & manage QA outsourcing partners as needed
- Foster a dynamic and collaborative team environment, coordinating educational opportunities for the team, mentorships, and team-building
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate talent for a diverse team of QA Professionals
- Support other teams in the studio with QA expertise and leadership as required
The Skills we’re searching for..
We believe that for you to succeed in this mission, you need to be people-oriented, business-minded, and good at organizing and delegating work while being unafraid to join your troop in the trench and get practical. Furthermore we believe that you have the following:
- Experience in leading QA teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands-on QA Experience in game development
- In-depth experience in using Jira or other bug databases
We would love to know if you have experience in personnel management, and going through a full development cycle from Alpha to Release. Previous experience with Paradox Development Studio Games is also highly valued. Compensation
We offer competitive monthly salary and salary revision once per year with participation in our company wide profit share program.
You will be given 5+1 weeks of paid vacation per year.
