IT Application Manager
Do you have a passion for tech solutions and want to work in a diverse IT environment? Excited about strategy and nerdy games that require thinking? If yes, then maybe the role of Application Manager at Paradox Interactive is just right for you.
Your mission
We are now looking for a talented Application Manager to join our small and dedicated IT team. The primary objective for this role is to ensure that the employees of Paradox have access to appropriate tools and knowledge to accomplish their goals, while also keeping track of costs.
You will be responsible for negotiating deals, evaluating potential alternatives and ensuring that our employees receive sufficient education to use these tools. Other responsibilities include proactively maintaining, documenting, and updating our core applications, supporting our colleagues in their day-to-day work in the acquisition of new applications, advanced application support, as well as contributing to the future IT application landscape.
You will be trusted to take ownership of the entire lifecycle surrounding our applications to ensure that they are maintained in an efficient and secure manner, as well as keeping yourself and others up-to-date with new features and implementations. The role may also include leading internal projects together with other departments based on their requests and established needs. Lastly, you will lead and/or assist in contract negotiations for key systems and applications.

We focus less on your experience and more on your ability to grow in the role. With that said, experience in the following is meritable:
Administrating softwares and services.
General IT support.
Procurement and purchasing.
Fluent English, spoken and written
As this position is part of a support function it will help you greatly to be service-minded and have the ability to work well with others. Although, your day-to-day tasks are yours alone and we hope that you appreciate our independent work structure. You will be expected to take initiative and work proactively to ensure smooth IT deliveries while analyzing the complex needs of various departments and daring to question them.
