As part of our team, you will lead business development activities with video game developers and other industry partners. You will land new partnerships and extend existing ones to ensure Paradox Interactive’s portfolio stays fresh and singularly “Paradox”-flavoured. You work with product management, legal, finance, production and marketing, to evaluate/develop, garner internal approval for business cases, negotiate and close publishing partnership deals with developers and other partners. 


  • Scout and identify new games and studio partners based on portfolio needs, as well as other key opportunities
  • Advocate and communicate extensively with internal stakeholders to bring them onboard new projects and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain an extensive network of business partners and development studios for potential future publishing partnerships
  • Drive relevant business modelling, forecasting, assist in portfolio planning efforts. 
  • Guide publishing partnerships and agreements through the Paradox Interactive’s Greenlight Process. 
  • Maintain a high-level of internal and external partner satisfaction. 
  • Analyse global market opportunities and help execute existing strategies for our segments (Management, RPG and Strategy) that will drive revenue growth. 
  • Help plan and lead parts of the business development teams day-to-day operations.

Required qualifications: 

  • 5+  years experience in similar roles in the games industry with an existing contact network.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and running business cases from term sheet to signed contract. 
  • Proven experience spanning business development and strategy in gaming and interactive entertainment, including executing publishing, distribution, development, and technology deals with external partners. 
  • Cross-functional work experience within business development, finance, and marketing will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills - fluent in English - written and spoken

 What we'd like to see: 

  • Experience working on mobile titles 
  • Experience with management/simulation/strategy games
  • Professional experience in game development
