Data Scientist - Data team

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the recently established Data Team. As a member of the team, you will be part of creating the data infrastructure that enables data driven decision-making throughout the organisation.

You’ll be maintaining and optimizing our data infrastructure, exploring new data sources and establishing best practices. You’ll also support the development of statistical predictive analytics models and insights using scientific test/validation based methods. One of the main tasks for this role is to create and optimize data ETL and aggregations to be used by the Data Scientists and/or business users via our self-service tool Tableau through Snowflake. The team acts as internal consultants, proactively working with stakeholders to support business decisions and evangelize a data driven culture at Paradox.

What we need to see:

  • Experience working as a Data Scientist/Engineer in a professional capacity. 
  • Experience in data management and building ETLs.
  • General understanding of how APIs work (CRUD, REST, etc).
  • Documented experience or formal education in both R and Python for data science.
  • Practical knowledge of SQL languages.

We use the AWS ecosystem extensively, and a lot of our programming is done in node.js. For version handling we use GIT, and as a team we follow the Agile methodologies. You can learn all of these, but getting up to speed will go faster if you are already have some familiarity with either of them, as will general experience in analytics and machine learning.
