As a member of the QA team at PDS, you will help us deliver the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. We work closely with the development teams for titles such as Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Stellaris & Crusader Kings, where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.

But traditional testing is not the only thing we do.

We also support the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means our testers need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture a relationship with the developers, and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. Skill development in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others is encouraged, so our team can collectively spread their passion for quality.

Our ideal candidate would have an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, while retaining the ability to take a step back and see the full picture. We value people who not only love the gaming industry, but those who understand the importance of Quality Assurance and are dedicated to attaining the best gaming experience possible for our players and community.

As a part of our QA team, you will execute tests and document results in test plans and our bug database, as well as collaborating with the development teams to identify and meet test priorities. You will also communicate constructive feedback on not only performance, but general design and fun factor of the game. Additionally, you will help support the rest of the QA team by coaching and mentoring other team members. 



  • Experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally on games or other entertainment software
  • Experience in or high level of knowledge of the entire game development cycle
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or JIRA



  • Experience playing Paradox Development Studio games (Particularly Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, and Stellaris)
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Game development education
  • ISTQB certification
  • Familiar with: SQL, Python, XML
  • Understanding of build systems (such as Jenkins) and automated testing frameworks
  • Have worked on several released game titles
