We are looking for a seasoned communications professional with a deep-seated love for video games - preferably those published by us - to help take our marketing department to the next level.

As head of communications, you will be managing, growing and providing direction to several high-performing disciplines within Paradox Interactive marketing - community management, press and influencer relations, corporate communications and events management. Reporting directly to the CMO, this position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the way we interact with and present ourselves to the world. We are an ambitious publisher with big plans for the future. We are also proudly dedicated to transparency, nerdiness and constant, ongoing dialogue with our fans. Your task will be safeguarding these traits, whilst also ensuring the organisation is equipped for growth in the years ahead.

To succeed, you will need to combine strategic, long-term thinking with the ability to lead, influence and inspire others. Paradox is evolving rapidly, meaning you will be expected to lead and deliver results in a fast-changing, dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategically develop marketing communications and corporate communications with a view towards the future and a diverse set of audiences in mind - our fans, our employees, our partners and our investors.
  • Define vision and goals for Paradox corporate brand communications to support and enable the overall company strategy.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders in marketing, product management and corporate (finance, human resources), ensuring communication needs are met.
  • Support and enable the managers of several high-performing disciplines within Paradox marketing - community management, press and influencer relations and events management. Help them raise the bar and develop their teams and agency networks to their fullest potential.
  • Help the organisation grow. Manage the difficult balance of retaining our culture and uniqueness, whilst simultaneously supporting an increasingly diverse and ambitious product and brand portfolio.

  • Proven experience from senior communications roles, preferably from within the games industry.
  • Several years of leadership experience, with a track record of managing growth and developing teams in fast-moving organisations.
  • A passion for all things video games, and the games published by Paradox Interactive in particular.
  • Fluent in english, both written and spoken.
