The Paradox Arctic Family is looking for a new Experienced Programmer! If you have a prototyping mindset, with a passion for exploration and experimenting, then you are a perfect fit for our research team! Not only will you have a big impact on our current titles, but you will also influence all our upcoming games. 

Our research team is a small, cross-disciplined group where everyone works together, and don’t mind getting their hands dirty and do some innovation - right here, right now. Researching, collaboration with non-technical colleagues, as well as finding quick and out of the box solutions in a dynamic environment will be your new home.

  • Technical design and implementation of new features
  • AB-Testing different gameplay mechanics
  • Strive for continuous improvement of self and the development process
  • Guide less experienced programmers


  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Professional work on one or more software projects from start to finish

Experience in the following is a plus:

  • Game development
  • Familiarity with game engines
  • Familiarity with Paradox game titles and Clausewitz
  • Experience working with Git

Our Culture
