About the role

As brand manager at Paradox, you are responsible for the growth and development of your assigned brands. This means formulating a brand vision and a brand strategy, and then liaising closely with both publishing and licensing teams to reach your goals. You will play a key role in deciding what projects are greenlit on your brands, and help guide and influence the work of both internal and external development studios, licensees and product/marketing teams. 

In this role, you will act as a point-of-reference and partner to all using your brand, as well as an evangelist towards both internal and external audiences. You are responsible for gathering audience data and defining your brand(s) through brand guidelines and other documentation (style guides, lore guides, art guides etc), thereby creating opportunities for development, publishing and licensing teams. You are also expected to drive brand marketing and cross-product marketing in a limited fashion, thereby growing the size and engagement of your addressable audience.

This is a strategic role with plenty of opportunity to shape the growth and development of Paradox Interactive going forward. To be successful you will need a strong vision, great communication and interpersonal skills and a knack for juggling the needs and wants of many stakeholders, both internal and external. 

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead long-term strategy for growth and development of your brand(s).
  • Gather market and audience data, thereby identifying opportunities and mitigating risk.
  • Define brand/IP through brand guidelines and other documentation (style guides, lore guides, art guides etc), creating opportunities for development teams, publishing and licensing.
  • Build and continuously develop product roadmap for your brand(s), in close collaboration with product and licensing teams.
  • Be an evangelist for your brands towards internal stakeholders.
  • Build and own shared timeline of all products and services built on, and extensions of, the brand.
  • Drive brand marketing and cross-product marketing efforts in a limited fashion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience of brand marketing, product marketing, product management or similar role(s), preferably from within the video games industry.
  • Proven track-record of growing and developing consumer brands for a digital-first audience in the entertainment space.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity working in global, matrix-style organizations, managing the needs and wants of multiple stakeholders across projects. 
  • A passion for video games in general, and the games from Paradox Interactive in particular.
