We are now looking for automation engineers to work with the various technologies that are used in Paradox games and surrounding ecosystem. The DevOps team is responsible for Paradox’s cloud environments, as well as a wide set of features and products including the Paradox Account, cross-platform multiplayer technology, social/player features (leaderboards, cloud saves, etc.), the Paradox Plaza store, forums, as well as the game SDK that exposes these features to our games, and many others!

In this role you will be a part of the Automation & Infrastructure team, where you will work with automation of deployment pipelines, monitoring, configuration and server management, among other things. Together with the rest of the teams you will explore and develop features for both players and game developers. You will be a key member in designing, building, improving, realizing features and requirements which enrich our Paradox ecosystem. This also means that you will be working closely with all of the Paradox game development studios, other DevOps teams, as well as the publishing organization, in order to maximize the consumption of our services to guarantee we continue delivering Paradox signature experiences.


  • CI orchestration, allowing developers to focus purely on business delivery
  • CD pipelines (e.g. automatically build commits, run tests, deploy to environments)
  • Service/VM orchestration and management (e.g. logging, monitoring, updates, etc.)
  • Scaling and distribution of our platforms and services, both internal and player-facing
  • Balancing environment resiliency and graceful service degradation 
  • Cloud platform management
  • Assisting other teams with infrastructure requirements and knowledge sharing


  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Bachelor degree or comparable professional experience
  • Comfortable with a range of programming languages and technologies
  • Experience with agile development
  • Proficient with code versioning tools, such as Git or similar frameworks
  • Documentation skills

What we’d like to see knowledge wise:

  • Terraform or Ansible (or similar)
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Linux (Ubuntu) administration
  • CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins or similar CI)
  • Deployment pipeline automation
  • Application/service load balancing
  • Understanding of Infrastructure components in general

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, Docker or similar
  • Cloud familiarity (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • AWS/GCP/Azure Cloud Function orchestration familiarity
  • Experience debugging on the network layer
  • Experience working with SSL Certs
  • Monitoring experience (Prometheus, DataDog, Grafana, etc.)
  • Experience working in a support-oriented team

To be successful in this position, we believe that you have a solid understanding of how development work is conducted in general and that you are able to work in cooperation with other DevOps teams in the organisation. We also believe you are a curious, driven, and explorative individual; you don't have problems with making decisions and handling the responsibilities that comes with it. Your role in a team is flexible and can include being the one who identifies viable solutions and implements appropriate solutions. Your English communications skills, both verbal and oral, are excellent and are backed by patience in taking the time to understand others.
