Data Scientist - Customer Insights & Data

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Customer Insights and Data Team. As a member of the Customer Insights and Data team you will be part of creating the data infrastructure that enables data driven decision-making throughout the organisation. You will also support CRM and Direct Sales to become more data-driven and create player-centric analysis.


  • Maintain and optimise the data infrastructure to create a great data foundation to support the continuously increasing demands that are placed on the Data Scientists. An example is ensuring a smooth ETL flow from S3 to Redshift/Snowflake to Tableau and other visualisations.
  • Create a clear overview of how players move through Paradox’s Ecosystem by creating player lifecycle KPIs, defining loyalty levels and deliver financial business KPIs.
  • Explore new data sources and establish best practice and work processes to scale knowledge for Paradox Interactive. An example is to set up an integration with an external system or online data source to collect and store data in our big-data solution.
  • Developing statistical, predictive analytics models and insights using scientific test/validation based methods. An example is to define a proper control group in a player churn analysis and analyze the outcome of actions taken to reduce player churn.
  • Function as an internal consultant, proactively working with stakeholders to support business decisions and evangelize a data driven culture at Paradox. An example is to present actionable insights and create hypotheses together with CRM and Direct Sales teams


  • 2+ years of experience working with Data Science. The ability to understand the challenges of our business and stakeholders - and provide the right solution - is key.
  • Experience in data management and building ETLs
  • B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or similar
  • Documented experience of or formal education in SQL, R or similar
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Experience in digital analytics, e-commerce and/or CRO will be considered an advantage, as will experience of the gaming industry

Location: This position is based in Stockholm
