Team Lead, Community Management

In this role, you lead a fast-growing team of hard-working, dedicated community managers, helping them excel in their roles and grow the discipline as a whole at Paradox Interactive.

Community management is a core discipline within marketing at Paradox Interactive, and we pride ourselves on constant, honest and transparent dialogue with our fans. A community manager at Paradox is the voice of their brands in the community, and the voice of our fans on their product teams. Your responsibility as manager is to lead the team to produce excellent results, and delivering on KPIs. You set long-term strategy for the discipline as a whole, with a particular focus on improving tracking, encouraging data-driven decision making and a results-focused mindset, as well as ensuring good working relationships with stakeholders.

You work closely with the product marketing management team and other discipline heads within marketing, to ensure their community management needs are met. The community team reports directly to you and will depend on you for leadership and career development.

As a person, you have a lean-in attitude with the capacity to juggle several ongoing projects at once and balance the needs from many different stakeholders. You are results-focused and diplomatic, with a good understanding of how to make different personality types work together. Experience from games industry community management, and a passion for games developed by Paradox Interactive, is a must.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage, grow and develop the skills of the community management team, ensuring delivery on set KPI targets for the discipline as a whole.
  • Work closely with product marketing managers and discipline heads within marketing, to ensure stakeholder needs from community management are met
  • Set overall community management strategy for Paradox Interactive, with a particular emphasis on tracking and data-driven decision making. Ensure buy-in from team and stakeholders both within and outside marketing.
  • Support the community management team in prioritizing ideal communication channels (social networks, forum, streams) and ensure Paradox’s presence in these channels
  • Support PR and Marketing overall with messaging and tonality input, to ensure activities and communications are in line with community expectations as well as Paradox Interactive and IP-specific brand values.
  • Represent community management in Marketing Leadership, safeguarding the role of community relations at Paradox Interactive.
  • Actively develop the discipline to ensure Paradox remains an industry leader within the field.


  • Several years experience from marketing, communications, community management or a related field.  
  • A passion for and familiarity with the games published by Paradox Interactive
  • 1+ years experience from working in the video games industry in a related role
  • Some team leadership experience
  • Driven, entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to multitask and balance needs of several stakeholders
  • Diplomatic approach and an ability to make different personality types work well together

Scope: Fulltime and permanent

Location: Stockholm
