UGC Program Manager

About the role
As UGC Program Manager, you will amplify the expansion and optimization of user-generated content (UGC) across Paradox’s portfolio, ensuring it remains a key driver of player engagement and growth. You will be responsible for aligning UGC initiatives, helping game teams leverage modding to enhance player retention and long-term value.
You will act as the bridge between game teams, platform developers, and content creators, ensuring UGC is strategically integrated into our games. By fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external creators, you will strengthen our ecosystem, improve content discoverability, and enhance internal processes to support scalable UGC initiatives.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with producers, developers, business teams, and community managers to ensure that UGC contributes meaningfully to Paradox’s player experience and overall business strategy.
Key responsibilities
Act as an advocate for UGC and moddability across Paradox, working closely with game development teams to ensure modding tools and platforms are prioritized.
Support game teams in developing UGC approaches, advising on modding accessibility, platform strategies, audience engagement, and long-term potential.
Work with community teams and content creator managers to ensure that modding and user-generated content remain a core part of the Paradox player experience.
Establish and maintain relationships with modders and content creators, directly or via our highly skilled community teams - ensuring they have the tools and resources to create, share, and promote their content.
Work closely with platform teams to improve mod discoverability, usability, and integration, driving adoption across Paradox games.
Identify opportunities for improving internal processes and automation, making it easier for both internal teams and external creators to contribute.
Skills and experience we are looking for
Experience in UGC, modding, content production, or publishing, within the gaming industry.
Deep understanding of the modding ecosystem, preferably with direct experience in modding, creator relations, or community engagement.
Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of working across game teams, business units, and external creator communities.
Project management and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain structured pipelines and ensure timely releases.
Familiarity with platform tools and distribution methods for UGC and modding, as well as licensing and digital content distribution.
