Triumph Studios is looking for a gameplay programmer who has the ability to bring the intricate systems of our strategy games to life using C++ code. You will be an integral part of creating captivating fun strategy games that keep players engaged for years.
Triumph Studios, based in Delft, Netherlands, is renowned for developing captivating strategy and RPG games like the Age of Wonders® and Overlord® series. As a C++ Gameplay Programmer at Triumph Studios, you will play a pivotal role in bringing immersive game experiences to life.
Responsibilities
Gameplay System Development: Design, implement, and optimize strategy gameplay systems and mechanics using C++.
Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, artists, and other programmers to translate creative concepts into interactive gameplay elements.
Performance Optimization: Ensure code efficiency and scalability, addressing performance issues and debugging as necessary.
Tool Development: Create and maintain tools that support and streamline the game development process.
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into game development.
Requirements
Proficiency in C++ Programming: Demonstrated expertise in C++ with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Game Engine Experience: Familiarity with game engines and development tools.
Passion for complex systems driven strategy games: A genuine enthusiasm for strategy games and other systems driven genres and a desire to contribute to creating engaging player experiences that have the potential to provide endless entertainment.
Understanding of Game Design Principles: In depth knowledge of game mechanics, AI systems, and processes.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
Communication and Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Comfortable communicating in English: both written and spoken. Selling your ideas to others is an important part of your job.
