Community Programs Specialist
Paradox Interactive is looking for a Community Program Specialist to join our management games team on a fixed-term contract of 12 months.
This role offers a unique opportunity to blend day-to-day community management with the strategic design and execution of community programs that extend the player experience beyond the game and support meaningful engagement between players and games while contributing to broader strategic initiatives within Paradox Interactive's portfolio.
As a Community Program Specialist, you’ll work across 2 or 3 management game brands, helping to foster strong community relationships while supporting long-term engagement strategies. You’ll manage key player-facing channels, lead structured initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen connections with our core audiences.
This role involves close coordination with Business Owners, Product Marketing Managers, development teams, and marketing stakeholders to ensure that community efforts are aligned with product goals and contribute meaningfully to the overall player experience.
Key responsibilities
Community Management
Oversee and coordinate moderation of official community channels (forums, Reddit, Discord, Steam, and modding platforms).
Foster structured and respectful environments across all touchpoints.
Monitor, analyze, and report on community sentiment and player feedback.
Community Program Development
Plan, budget, and execute a range of community programs, events, and campaigns.
Develop initiatives aimed at strengthening and expanding core player audiences (e.g., tutorial content, feature spotlights, regional outreach).
Contribute to merchandise-related community activities, including branded items.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate developer-facing community activities such as livestreams, AMAs, and dev diaries.
Work alongside Social Media Specialists, Influencer Relations Managers, and Community Ambassadors to ensure cohesive execution.
Align community programs with product and marketing objectives.
Release and Issue Management
Manage beta testing efforts and structure tester feedback for product teams.
Collaborate with QA and developers to track live issues during game releases and updates.
Support crisis response planning and communication from a community perspective.
Strategic Insight & Reporting
Produce regular reports summarizing key community trends and insights.
Provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams to support game and content development.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Solid understanding of and interest in management games; familiarity with Paradox titles is an advantage.
Experience in community management, program coordination, or digital engagement roles.
Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to planning and execution.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across diverse internal teams.
Comfortable managing communication across multiple channels and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international community initiatives or working with third-party community vendors.
Background in community-focused merchandising or regional outreach.
