Head of Business – Management Games
Join Paradox Interactive as Head of Business and lead the growth of some of our iconic management games like Cities Skylines, Surviving Mars & Prison Architect. Shape the future of the genre!
Paradox Interactive is home to some of the most celebrated management and simulation game franchises in the world, including Cities: Skylines, Surviving Mars and Prison Architect. As we continue to invest in this genre and expand our portfolio, we are looking for a Head of Business to lead the commercial success and long-term growth of this important genre.
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the commercial strategy, marketing execution, and player engagement of our management game franchises. You will act as the portfolio lead and advocate for the genre within the organization, ensuring that every game is set up for success—before, during, and after release.
You are commercially minded, analytically sharp, and an inspiring leader who thrives in a creative and collaborative environment. You have a deep understanding of the games industry, preferably in the management and simulation genre, and are passionate about building lasting relationships with players.
Responsibilities
Lead the business strategy for the management games portfolio—across live titles and upcoming releases—setting the long-term direction, market positioning, and strategic priorities to drive commercial success and player engagement.
Provide strategic oversight of product lifecycles across the portfolio—guiding priorities, monitoring performance, and refining plans to ensure commercial success and deliver lasting value to players.
Drive growth initiatives by launching new titles, expanding existing franchises, experimenting with business models, and optimizing pricing and promotion. Explore untapped markets, platforms, and licensing opportunities, informed by business intelligence and player feedback.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Business Owners, Marketing Leads, and Community Specialists — fostering professional growth, strengthening collaboration, and maintaining a culture of excellence. Manage recruitment when needed to ensure the team continues to meet evolving business needs.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with publishing and studio teams to ensure alignment on goals, deliverables and release schedules.
Own resource planning, budgeting and performance tracking for the business area.
Champion player-first decision-making, using community feedback and analytics to inform commercial strategy, engagement initiatives, and long-term franchise planning.

5+ years of senior experience in game publishing, product management or commercial strategy.
Proven track record of driving commercial performance for game franchises or portfolios.
