QA Analyst - Stellaris
Your Mission:
At Paradox Development Studio, home to critically acclaimed grand strategy games like Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, and Europa Universalis, we are looking for a QA Analyst to oversee quality assurance for Stellaris. In this key role, you will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the game’s mechanics, features, and overall design meet the high standards of quality our players expect.
As a QA Analyst, you will be deeply involved in the QA process from pre-production through to release, ensuring that gameplay is polished, engaging, and bug-free. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape the QA workflow for Stellaris, collaborating across departments to provide crucial feedback on both technical functionality and gameplay elements. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated team working on one of the most beloved grand strategy games in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive QA Planning: Develop and execute testing strategies, including detailed test plans and schedules, to ensure coverage at all stages of Stellaris’ development.
Bug Tracking and Reporting: Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of bugs using tools like JIRA, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently.
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, and external partners to align QA efforts with production timelines and game design goals.
Advocate for Quality: Be the voice for quality within the team, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the user experience and gameplay.
The skills we’re looking for:
Experience: ~5 years of QA experience in the gaming industry.
Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of game development processes and tools like JIRA or similar bug-tracking software.
Attention to Detail: Proven ability to conduct rigorous testing, analyze complex game systems, and identify potential issues across Stellaris’ expansive gameplay mechanics.
Passion for Paradox Games: Familiarity with Stellaris and other Paradox grand strategy titles is a strong plus - please don’t hesitate to mention this in your application.
