Content Designer - Hearts of Iron
Are you ready to conquer the world together with us? Do you want to be part of a humble and learning-focused team that has the players interest in mind? If you are ready to join us in the march towards the next level of Hearts of Iron, and have a strong experience of strategy games or wargames in general, we want you on our team!
Your mission
As a Content Designer on the Hearts of Iron team you will be a champion of the player experience, and work with the quality and feel of the game. You will be researching, designing, scripting, and writing engaging content for the game. Your work will have a direct impact on how Hearts of Iron is received and perceived by our fans.
You will design and implement gameplay systems and experiences based on 20th century history. Together with the other Content Designers in the team, you will be designing and implementing historical narratives, and writing events in American English that thematically fit within the game. You will be researching related topics and creating believable non-historical storylines that use historical events as an inspiration.
The skills we’re searching for…
An interest in Strategy games and History in general, especially in the Second World War era.
Top notch writing skills, with an excellent command of American English.
Experience in narrative design, game design, or experience performing similar tasks in the modding community.
Experience in code-based scripting.
You will be working in a team that values collaboration and cooperation. It’s important that you aren’t afraid to raise issues, and that you continuously look for improvement and try to inspire your colleagues. Since we are a fast-paced company, curiosity and an ability to get into things quickly are two important aspects.
If you find it motivating to have freedom and the responsibility to take ownership of your task and deliver, but also know when to rely on others for support as well as being a supportive team member, then we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can bring Hearts of Iron to the next level.
